Fittest in Exeter!
Isca Academy were invited to compete in the Fittest in Exeter Competition hosted by St Luke’s. 4 scholars from years 7-10 were chosen by the PE team, based on their resilience and determination shown in PE, which was proven necessary for the events that followed. The competition involved 3 gruelling challenges; Burpee relay, Mr Gillard’s Pyramid and Filthy 3’s. Each year group competed against other schools to record the best score possible in each event.
Isca were in top form and got off to a flying start in the first event (Mr Gillard’s Pyramid) with team captain Rosie leading by example. The Burpee relay was up next and Isca proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Other schools knew we were the team to beat. Each year group showing excellent team work, motivating one another to keep going. The final event (Filthy 3’s) saw the teams compete in a sprint relay, wheelbarrows and bear crawls. It was another excellent display of resilience shown by Isca who didn’t stop until the final bell ended the competition.
Overall a fantastic exhibition that allowed Isca to showcase how amazing they really are and one that made Mr Allanson very proud to be their teacher. Massive shoutout to all involved; Rosie (Team Captain), Jess, Will, Fermin, Charlotte, Evie, Tom, Chaz, Megan, Hollie, Harry, Gustaw, Phoebe, Ella, Alfie and Brayden.
Shoutout to Fundraising Faith
