Cover Manager and Cover Supervisor

Do you have the ambition to support the outstanding progress and attainment of children regardless of their background and prior learning? We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable Cover Manager with Cover Supervisor responsibilities to work within our busy Curriculum Support team. The post represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant and ambitious Academy working within the Ted Wragg Trust and primarily includes:

  • Effectively managing the daily teaching cover rota and associated data/information.
  • Working under the guidance of the teaching and senior staff to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers and to respond to questions and generally assist pupils in undertaking set activities when fulfilling this supervisory role.

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education an experience in a secondary school or age 11-16 setting. The role requires an enthusiastic and organised person to manage the cover arrangements within the school as well as supervising classes across Years 7 to 11 as required. It is a varied role and would suit someone who has Qualified Teacher Status or a commitment to/interest in securing this in the future alongside the experience of working with young people in an educational setting. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking, creative practitioners, able to motivate pupils.

We are looking for two Associate Teachers (Maths and English) to work alongside classroom teachers in our school.
The ideal applicants will have Qualified Teacher Status or a commitment to/interest in securing this in the future and have the experience of working with young people in an educational setting. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking, creative practitioners, able to motivate pupils.
It is essential that the successful candidates have a good level of spoken English, are a good team member and are able to develop positive behaviour strategies with children.
