Students, parents and carers are advised to pay particular attention to the uniform details set out in our Uniform policy.

Students are expected to wear their full uniform, with pride at all times.  This includes on the way to school and on the way home. Students must be clean and tidily dressed at all times with uniform maintained in a good state of repair, with no holes or rips. Shirts must always be tucked into skirts or trousers and top buttons should be fastened. Skirts should not be rolled up.

Uniform will be checked on a daily basis and any students not in correct uniform will be asked to change or wear uniform provided by the school.  As a parent, you may be asked to bring in correct uniform from home if your child arrives at school inappropriately dressed.

Year 7 – will need to purchase the full new uniform:-

  • Navy Jacket with Isca Logo
  • Charcoal grey trousers or Tartan Skirt (skirt to be worn with black opaque tights, or black plain socks – No leggings permitted)
  • New Isca Tie

Years 8 & 9 – students can keep with what they have if it still fits or opt to buy the new uniform as with Year 7s

Year 10 – students will need to purchase new navy jackets with the logo as with Year 7s.

Year 11 – students can keep with what they have if it still fits or opt to buy the new uniform as with Year 7s.

**Please note – Jumpers with the Isca logo are no longer available.

Year 8s onwards can buy a new Isca tie if you wish.

In addition, all students require:

  • Plain black formal shoes – leather, faux leather or vegan leather (please see the uniform policy for details).
  • Plain black, white or grey socks, or black opaque tights.
  • A white shirt with a top button suitable to be worn with a clip-on tie.

Further information:

  • Students are permitted to wear one plain stud in each ear only; no other piercings or jewellery are permitted, besides a wrist watch.
  • Haircuts, styles and accessories should be suitable for our business-like school environment and not deemed extreme.
  • Hair colouring, if used at all must be a natural hair shade.
  • Make-up is discouraged. If worn, make-up must be hardly noticeable, natural and very subtle.
  • False Eyelashes should not be worn.
  • Eyebrows should have a natural shape, size and colour. Students will be asked to remove fake eyelashes and any obvious make-up.
  • Nails must be natural, and nails should be kept to a sensible length so that students can participate safely in practical subjects. Clear nail polish only is permitted.
  • Name-labelling of all uniform is strongly encouraged
  • A strong bag is essential and should be big enough to carry an A4 file
  • Outdoor coats or sweatshirts should be taken off before entering the building. 

All students are expected to come to school with appropriate equipment eg pen, pencil, ruler etc as well as any homework that is due for collection.  The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) in the library sells a wide range of school equipment at very low prices, for example a biro for 9p.

PE Kit
Students are also required to bring sports kit with them for PE lessons:

  • A Black Isca sports top with house colour logo and panels
  • Plain black (mid thigh length) shorts, skort, tracksuit bottoms or sports leggings
  • Black long socks (football, rugby and hockey)
  • Black school issued PE sweatshirt with Isca PE logo (optional)
  • Students may also chose to wear a black base layer under their polo shirt or under their shorts/tracksuit bottoms (optional)
  • Sports Trainers (not fashions trainers or flat-bottomed shoes): for wearing indoors and on the all-weather pitch
  • Shin pads (these are essential for hockey and football lessons)
  • Gumshield for rugby and hockey – available either from school or sports shops
  • All students will require a PE bag to keep games kit separate from school books.

 

Summer Uniform 
From the start of the summer term (after Easter), students may wear charcoal grey tailored school short. Shorts should be without cargo pockets or other additions.
During periods of extreme heat in the summer term, the leadership team may give permission for ties, jackets and jumpers to be taken off but students will be told on the day.
